How to Choose Artificial Flowers for Your Vase
The right artificial flower bunch depends on the vase you already own and the place where the arrangement will stand. Two bunches with similar colours can create very different displays because their heights, widths and flower counts differ.
Measure the vase and the available space
Note the vase height, the opening width and the depth available for the stems. Then measure the space above and around the vase. A bunch’s listed total height is not the same as the height that will remain visible after it is placed inside a vase. Its listed width describes the spread of the arrangement, not a promise that every stem will fit through your vase opening.
Compare these three bunches
- Blue Hydrangea Bunch: five blue blooms with foliage and white accents; listed height 38 cm and width 20 cm. Consider it when you want a blue accent and a taller overall bunch.
- Cream Peony Bunch: seven cream blooms; listed length 33 cm and width 24 cm. Its neutral colour works as a quieter visual accent.
- Red-Orange Ranunculus Bouquet: thirteen blooms; listed height 26 cm and width 15 cm. This is the most compact of these three listed arrangements and introduces a stronger colour accent.
Flower counts describe blooms within the bunch. They should not be treated as a count of separate loose stems unless the individual listing says so.
Choose a colour direction
Pick one colour already present in the room, such as a cushion, print or table runner. Blue can repeat an existing cool-colour detail; cream offers a neutral option; red-orange can become the main colour accent. These are styling suggestions, not fixed rules. Compare the product photographs with your room in daylight.
Build the arrangement before buying extras
Check whether one bunch gives the width you need before ordering several. Arrange the flowers loosely first, then rotate the vase to inspect the display from the usual viewing direction. Avoid cutting stems until you have checked the construction and committed to the arrangement; trimming is permanent and may make the bunch unsuitable for a different vase.
Care and package contents
These artificial flowers do not need watering. Dust gently and follow the product’s own care guidance. Do not assume that every faux flower is washable, fade-proof or suitable outdoors. A vase shown in a styling photograph is not evidence that a vase is included: check the package contents before ordering.
